EMESA promotes and facilitates the accomplishment of medium-term and long-term electrical infrastructure required by Mendoza, a province that has shown sustained socioeconomic growth in recent years and that has consumed much of its existing capacity.
Therefore, it is essential to follow the necessary steps to accomplish a series of electrical works that will turn energy supply more stable and reliable. EMESA´s role is to improve the electrical infrastructure by bringing together the actors and economic, technological and financial resources involved in the development opportunities of Mendoza’s energy sector.
The corporate system that frames EMESA’s actions enables the company to tender works more efficiently and faster acting, as the case may be, as: promoter, contracting party, agent of the Wholesale Electricity Market, inspector of works or, simply, supporting the previous regulatory management.
In addition, EMESA will assist the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Infrastructure and EPRE (Mendoza’s energy regulatory body), among other entities, within the framework of its corporate purpose for the planning / management / execution of the large amount of works required by the electrical system in the short and medium term.

EMESA has exploration and exploitation rights over seventeen (17) hydrocarbon areas in Mendoza.
EMESA has set up four UTEs with a stake of between 10 and 12 %, with the following companies: Roch SA, Medanito SA, Pluspetrol SA and GEOPARK ARG. Ltd., with a total exploration investment of USD 50 million.
EMESA’s main objective is to become a tool for executing the provincial energy policy, making the most of Mendoza’ energy assets and diversifying the energy matrix in a balanced and sustainable manner.
Therefore, EMESA is determined to participate in ventures involving the development and use of alternative energy sources to promote a sustainable and high-quality power supply.
Within this business unit, EMESA analyzes and develops energy generation projects using renewable sources such as Hydraulics, Wind, Biomass and Solar energy. EMESA helps with the necessary steps for the accomplishment of these projects.
In addition, EMESA seeks to participate in the programs, plans and projects promoted by the various National and Provincial Government agencies, as well as private and academic projects that promote and encourage the rational use of energy, R & D and development of energy generation projects using renewable resources.
